President says public is starting to wake up
In 2019, President Donald Trump said the public is starting to wake up, declaring that Democrats would soon be known as the “party of crime.”
Talking about the border wall at the time, Trump said:
“Polls are now showing that people are beginning to understand the Humanitarian Crisis and Crime at the Border,” he wrote on Twitter.
“Numbers are going up fast, over 50%.”
Polls are now showing that people are beginning to understand the Humanitarian Crisis and Crime at the Border. Numbers are going up fast, over 50%. Democrats will soon be known as the Party of Crime. Ridiculous that they don’t want Border Security!

“Democrats will soon be known as the Party of Crime. Ridiculous that they don’t want Border Security!”
But it was unclear whether the president was claiming 50 percent of people now understand or that the number has increased by 50 percent.
That same poll found:
“Nearly half of all Americans (47 percent) say there is a serious problem at the border but decline to call it a crisis.
Just under a quarter (24 percent) label the current situation a crisis.”
Politico and Morning Consult released a poll showing 42 percent of Americans refer to the situation at the southern border “a crisis.”
Thirty-seven percent of voters polled called the situation “a problem,” while 2 percent said it was neither “a crisis” nor “a problem.”
The poll also found that 53 percent of respondents blamed Trump for the government shutdown, while 29 percent blamed congressional Democrats.
Earlier this year, Trump scored a significant victory after the conservative majority in the SCOTUS backed his plan to make it easier to deport illegal aliens.
The court backed Trump to lift, remove the red tape regarding the deportation of immigrants who commit crimes in America.
But the dissenting Justice Sonia Sotomayor called the decision “at odds with common sense.”
The U.S. Supreme Court’s decision will make it easier for federal agents to deport certain immigrants who have committed crimes.
