Former Secretary Of State and Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was arriving at a fundraising event when her secret service van smashed into a pole in New Jersey on Monday.

The driver was attempting to make a left-hand turn when the van collided with a pole.
Following the crash, Clinton stepped out of the vehicle and appeared unharmed – see the video released by the National Republican Senatorial Committee.
Security could be seen scrambling to assist until the driver corrected his vehicle.
The van was reversed and then moved forward allowing Clinton to exit.

Clinton addressed the audience at the fundraiser event for Menendez, who is on the ballot for re-election to his seat in the US Senate.

Sabrin is a professor of finance in the Anisfield School of Business at Ramapo College in New Jersey.
Menendez has kept the seat since 2006.
In 2015, Menendez was accused of federal corruption charges.
He was accused of carrying out alleged favors for Salomon Melgen, a Florida ophthalmologist.
Mendendez was also accused of accepting gifts from him, including campaign donations and private flights.
Melgen was also charged related to the accusations.
Menendez pleaded not guilty to all charges and his trial concluded in a hung jury and a mistrial on November 16, the Washington Post reported.
All charges against Menendez were eventually dropped, the Justice Department announced on January 31.
It’s believed Clinton was with trusted aide Huma Abedin at the fundraiser for Menendez, at the time of the minor accident, TMZ reported.
