Tech CEO and Entire Family Killed in House Fire ‘Were Murdered’ – Police Reveal

Police have launched an investigation into a quadruple homicide

A New Jersey family of four who were found dead after their mansion caught fire ‘were murdered’, according to reports.

Police have launched an investigation into a quadruple homicide which includes the deaths of tech company CEO Keith Caneiro, 50, his wife Jennifer, 45, and their two young children.

Caneiro was discovered in the exterior forecourt of the Colts Neck home with a gunshot wound on Tuesday, while his wife and children’s lifeless bodies were found ‘severely burned’ in the $1.5million mansion.

The gunshot wound was not self-inflicted, it has been revealed.

The fire is being treated as ‘arson.’

The names of all the victims have not yet been revealed, but their identities were confirmed to by law enforcement.

Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher Gramiccioni stated there was no immediate threat to the public, but has not released any information about potential suspects.

Authorities have refused to disclose whether there were any weapons found at the scene.

Carneiro’s body was seen covered by a sheet in the middle of the yard next to the house.

The fact that Caneiro’s brother’s house caught on fire hours before adds to the mystery.

The fire was reported at the home of Paul Caneiro and his wife Susan Caneiro on Tuesday morning.

One day, two fires – coincidence?

5 am: A fire is reported at the Ocean Township home of Paul Caneiro, Keith Caneiro’s brother

12 pm: A neighbor stated Paul and his wife Susan waited at the home until around noon and were ‘devastated.’

12.30pm: A blaze is reported at Keith Caneiro’s home in Colts Neck, 10 miles away

2 pm: Firefighters were still struggling to manage the blaze at Keith Caneiro’s home hours later

4 pm: Police announce at a press conference they are investigating the second blaze as an arson

A neighbor claimed they witnessed Paul and Susan at their home just before the fire started.

They said Paul ‘appeared to be upset and left a short time after’.

‘He said it must have been a gas leak; he had tears in his eyes. Susan was devastated,’ the neighbor said.

‘He said, “I’m in complete shock, I can’t believe this is happening to me. They were here until about noon.’

The house has shown no visible signs of damage but the flames destroyed the back of their home.

Investigators have confirmed there were gas cans were found at the back of the Ocean Township home but failed to confirm if fires were connected.

‘That remains to be seen, but that is an angle we continue to pursue,’ said Gramiccioni.

Caneiro and his brother Paul were partners in Square One.

Caneiro was noted as the founder, CEO, and chief technology officer of the technology consulting firm in Asbury Park.

Paul Caneiro is listed as the vice president of the company.

Both brothers were also partners of a pest control company in the same office.
