The UK government have seemingly revealed their true colors by series of court rulings

On one of the biggest media spectacles in recent years, the 23-month-old baby boy Alfie Evans has to fight for his life in a British hospital, Alder Hey, for months now.

Alfie suffers from a degenerative neurological condition that the doctors at Alder Hey are incurable, leaving medical staff with claiming they have no other option but to let the baby die.

As the public has watched, almost helplessly, Alfie’s parents have done everything within their power to keep the child alive.

The UK government have seemingly revealed their true colors by series of court rulings to take Alfie of life support, a decision that should not only be made by the parents but shouldn’t even come into question for a baby who has a hope of surviving.

Alfie’s father, Thomas Evans has bravely attempted to appeal the rulings in order for the family to fly to Vatican hospital in Rome were Alfie stands a chance of survival under experimental treatments currently not offered in the UK.

Even though Aflies trip to Italy for treatment would come to a no cost to the UK government, they are still forcing the family to remain in the UK, where they will be denied medical care because the government deems it “not worth the effort” to keep the boy alive.

Even worse, the hospital has not been feeding the child while he is under their care, which is now court mandated.

Police Department monitoring social media and taking legal action on people speaking out:

Alder Hey Hospital Chairman David Henshaw and Chief Executive Louise Shepherd said in a statement that they have been victims of a “barrage of highly abusive and threatening language and behavior.”

“We have endured attacks upon our motivation, our professionalism, and our ethics. It has been a very difficult time. Having to carry on our usual day-to-day work in a hospital that has required a significant police presence just to keep our patients, staff, and visitors safe is completely unacceptable,” they said in the statement.

“We’ve issued the following statement following reports of social media posts being made in relation to Alder Hey Hospital and the ongoing situation with Alfie Evans:

Chief Inspector Chris Gibson said: ‘Merseyside Police has been made aware of a number of social media posts which have been made with reference to Alder Hey Hospital and the ongoing situation involving Alfie Evans.

I would like to make people aware that these posts are being monitored and remind social media users that any offenses including malicious communications and threatening behavior will be investigated and where necessary will be acted upon.’”

This is not an empty hazard either– authorities in the UK have the legal authority to apprehend individuals for things that they say online.

This is one of the many examples of how apparently moral laws versus “hostile” speech can, in fact, be used to stifle dissent so that public discourse can be pushed in a specific instruction.

In fact, thousands of individuals over the past few years have been jailed for Facebook posts in the UK.

Neon Nettle reported that prankster called Mark Meechan was apprehended and condemned of a hate criminal activity for training his canine to do a Nazi salute— as a joke to go nuts his girlfriend.

Meechan says that he is not racist or antisemitic, but that he prefers to check out the “darker side of humor.”

He was charged under the Communications Act of 2003, which states that individuals who make online posts that are deemed offensive or harmful can deal with fines and jail time.

In the case of Alfie Evans, there are a lot of people speaking up that it will likely stimulate further anger if somebody is really jailed for sharing their viewpoint.
