Jimenez was later identified as an employee of a bar in San Antonio called ‘Rumble.’
The man who attacked a 16-year-old boy for wearing a Make America Great Again in the middle of a restaurant has been fired from his job as bar worker.
Kino Jimenez attacked Hunter Richard while he was eating with his friends at a Whataburger in San Antonio, the incident was filmed and has since gone viral on social media.
Jimenez pulled off Richard’s cap off his head, allegedly pulling some of his hair with it, before verbally attacking him.
He then proceeded to throw Richard’s cup filled with ice and soda before yelling ‘F*** the President!’
Jimenez was later identified as an employee of a bar in San Antonio called ‘Rumble.’
He was immediately fired following the publication of the video.
The restaurant posted on Facebook:
‘It came to our attention earlier this evening that a part-time employee was captured on cell phone video assaulting another person at a local eatery. The assault took place, presumably, because this employee did not agree with the other individual’s political stance.’
‘We have since terminated this employee, as his actions go against everything that this establishment stands for. Rumble has, and always will be, a bar that is as inclusive as any establishment could possibly be,’ the post added.
According to The DM: Hunter Richard, 16, was dining at Whataburger when he was attacked by a patron identified as Kino Jimenez who ripped off his Make America Great Again hat and threw soda at his face
‘You ain’t even support s**t n****,’ Jimenez says as he walks away with the MAGA hat in hand.
Shaking the hat at the teen one last time he jeers: ‘This is going to go great in my mother f****** fireplace, b****’.
‘Alright, have fun with it,’ one of the teenagers at the table calls out.
The video displays the utterly appalled reaction of one boy at the table.
The boys said the man attacked them without any provocation.
Richard’s mother Patricia Spittler posted the since-deleted video online, where it racked up more than two million views, hoping to identify the perpetrator.
‘Please help ID this “Scum BAG of the Year”!
His friend was wearing a Patriotic Hat and this happened! It would be nice to know who he is for someone to let him know his actions are not ok!
Real tough guy… approaches a group of teenagers minding their own business just having a burger! He kept his hat too! Scum bag!’ she pleaded.
He was named as Kino Jimenez according to Heavy.
Speaking on the attack Richard said: ‘I support my President and if you don’t let’s have a conversation about it instead of ripping my hat off.’
‘I just think a conversation about politics is more productive for the entire whole rather than taking my hat and yelling subjective words to me,’ he said to News4 San Antonio.
Richard has filed a police report and police are investigating the incident.
This isn’t the first dispute to stem from the blaring red MAGA hat.
An employee at Vancouver restaurant was fired last month after he allegedly asked a customer to remove a MAGA hat in order to be served.
In April a New York Judge dismissed a lawsuit where a man claimed he was denied service at a bar for sporting the MAGA hat, but the judge said the bar was not acting outside the law.
On June 22, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was asked to leave a restaurant called Red Hen in Lexington, Virginia.
She tweeted afterward that she was removed because she worked for the Trump administration.
The Red Hen owner said she politely asked Sanders to leave to make her workers feel comfortable after they took a staff vote and agreed to not serve Sanders.
