Beto Blasted For Live Streaming Haircut/Massage a Day after ‘Privilege’ Apology

Texas Democrat makes very awkward viewing in new video

Democratic 2020 Presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke has seemingly dug himself into a hole after he was blasted for live streaming a ‘weird’ 20-minute video showing him being pampered with a haircut and massage during a campaign stop in Texas, just one day after apologizing for ‘elite privilege.’

Beto, who apologized for launching his campaign on the cover of Vanity Fair yesterday, made a stop at Chema’s Barber Shop in El Paso as his social media assistant live-streamed footage of him enjoying a spot of personal grooming.

But it what came next made for very awkward viewing, as he made small talk with the barber in Spanish before being forced to introduce himself to another customer who failed to recognize who he was.

Beto’s newest attempt of building himself as a man of the people came just one day after apologizing for ‘elite’ white ‘privilege.’

The video of him speaking Spanish, an apparent attempt to connect with Latino voters, saw him make chit chat with the barber named Manuel along.

The Texas Democrat was then forced to introduce himself to a customer and explain he was running for president after failing to recognize him.

Beto even attempted some humor when the barber appears to trim some of his ears: “We’re cutting out some of this ear hair that you get when you get older. It grows out of your ears, and if you don’t get it cut, it can be nasty.”

The awkward silences wherein abundance, but O’Rourke tried to break them up by announcing his daughter Molly was taking a standardized test.

O’Rourke added that his son has a basketball game Wednesday night and the children expected to finish up in school in a couple of weeks.

He then falls into a more awkward silence as the barber gives him a back massage with an electric device.

The Democrat then proceeded to give viewers a virtual tour of El Paso landmarks and an update on the warm temperatures in the Texas city.

Unsurprisingly, Beto’s video clip posted via his Facebook campaign page has been widely ridiculed on social media.

One Twitter user named @126 wrote:

‘Beto O’Rourke live streaming his haircut is 2020’s saddest moment.’

She tweeted: ‘This is just nonsense! A haircut?#!#! @BetoORourke turn off the cameras or you will just me another #egotistical leader! “It’s all about me!”

Austinb172 wrote: ‘Hate to have to tell you this @BetoORourke, but we care about your policies, not your haircuts. And frankly, you’re lacking any substance in both.’

@Ryon claimed: ‘I’m a supporter but stop doing weird/stupid stuff if you are running for President. Get a grip!!!’

In March Beto was accused of making sexist comments about his wife just a day after shady online posts emerged, in which he wrote about killing people and made misogynistic statements.

The Democratic 2020 hopeful apologized for being a white male following a backlash from his liberal supporters after he joked about how his wife raises their three children without his full support.

It took Robert “Beto” O’Rourke a full two days to apologize for his gender and skin color after announcing his candidacy, which is perhaps some sort of record.

Keep apologizing Beto; it makes for excellent viewing.
