‘What a f**king asshole’
Joe Biden criticized President Donald Trump last year, claiming he “isn’t really an American President,” according to a new book.
Biden told his team in 2020 that Trump’s presidency was his biggest reason to run.
“This guy just isn’t really an American president,” Biden said.
Biden’s political adviser Ron Klain, who was present for the meeting, recalled the comment in the book Peril by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa.
Biden was reportedly profoundly unsettled by Trump’s presidency, most notably after his comments about the riots in Charlottesville.
“I just feel like I have to do this,” Biden said at the time.
“Trump represents something fundamentally different and wrong about politics.”
The book reveals Biden’s views on Trump behind the scenes in a number of other incidences.

Following Biden’s inauguration, he walked into a room where Trump had set up a large video screen to practice golf in the White House.
“What a f**king asshole,” Biden said, according to the book.
The book also claims the Biden team hated using Trump’s name, avoiding using the “T-word” in their daily routines.
But Trump is still living rent-free in Biden’s head almost eight months later.
Earlier this year, Trump said he was confident he would beat Biden in the boxing ring if the chance arose.
“If you had to box somebody on Saturday night, who would it be, and what would the fight look like?” the 45th POTUS was asked.
“Well, if I had to pick somebody in the world, not only a professional boxer — because I’ll take a pass on the professional boxers, that could be a very dangerous subject,” Trump answered.
“But if I had to box somebody, I think probably my easiest fight would be Joe Biden because I think he’d go down very, very quickly.”
“Very, very quickly.”
