California Mayor: Not Wearing a Mask in Public Is an ‘Act of Domestic Terrorism’

Mayor Rex Parris expresses anger at people not wearing masks

Lancaster, California Mayor Rex Parris believes those who refuse to wear a mask in public are committing acts of ‘domestic terrorism.’

According to the Los Angeles Daily News report, Parris said that those who refuse to comply with the rules should be arrested.

“If it were up to me, anybody not wearing a mask when they are out in public would be arrested … That’s an act of domestic terrorism and should be treated like one,” Parris said.

Parris has expressed his increasing frustration with growing coronavirus cases and those not wearing maks.

But comparing such acts to domestic terrorism has caused a backlash against the mayor.

But Parris failed to say whether Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom should be arrested after he was caught “allegedly eating at the French Laundry restaurant” and failing to adhere to coronavirus health guidelines.

Last week, Neon Nettle reported that Newsom was caught attending a party that violated his own COVID-19 lockdown order.

Los Angeles also became the only county in California so far that has placed a ban on outdoor dining.

Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger slammed the ban on outdoor dining for damaging small businesses.

“The County’s orders are significantly more restrictive than the State’s. We asked businesses to invest substantial resources to ensure safety, only to force them to close. Small businesses cannot withstand these constant changes and deserve better,” Barger tweeted last week.

Earlier this month, Dr. Anthony Fauci warned that people may still be required to wear masks even after they’ve been vaccinated.

The Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases said COVID-19 precautions will still be necessary after a vaccine becomes available to Americans.

Fauci insisted that life will be unlikely to return to “normal” following mass public vaccinations.

“I would recommend to people to not to abandon all public health measures just because you’ve been vaccinated,” Fauci said.
