Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell suggests government uses nuclear weapons on Americans
Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell has caused outrage after calling for the government to confiscate guns from Americans and kill those citizens who resist with nuclear weapons.
While pushing his far-left gun control agenda, Swalwell warned that he is pushing for the unconstitutional confiscation of semi-automatic weapons, saying, “the government has nukes,” before treating that they could be used against “families and communities” of those who don’t comply.
Swalwell issued the threat in response to a May news article that reported his radical plan after is resurfaced on Friday and was widely recirculated on Twitter on Friday.
The report discussed his calls for a $15 billion government program to confiscate millions of guns from American citizens by force.

Swalwell responded to the tweet by writing: “And it would be a short war my friend. The government has nukes. Too many of them. But they’re legit. I’m sure if we talked we could find common ground to protect our families and communities.”

Swalwell’s remarks lit a tweetstorm of outrage online:
“You don’t need AR-15s because the government isn’t tyrannical, and, anyway, if you try to stop us taking them we will nuke you” is my favorite of all the gun control talking points.

Swalwell later confirmed in a tweet to the NRA’s Dana Loesch that he wants to confiscate all semi-automatic weapons:

Swalwell later argued that if a firearm contains a pistol grip then that somehow magically makes the weapon more powerful:
