Nolan has vowed to seek treatment during his sentencing hearing on Friday

A former Kentucky judge has been sentenced to 20 years in prison for child trafficking offenses according to reports.

Timothy Nolan, a former Campbell County district judge, has pleaded guilty to child trafficking amongst other sex crimes involving minors.

According to Nolan’s defense attorney, he denied all the charges.

Nolan has vowed to seek treatment during his sentencing hearing on Friday following statements red by nearly 20 victims, many under 16 years old.

The Hill reports: Nolan is also a conservative political activist and worked on President Trump’s campaign in Kentucky during the 2016 presidential race.

Nolan previously forced a delay in the sentencing by firing his attorneys and attempting to withdraw his guilty plea in a “wild” court hearing in March, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer.

According to Reuters: At his arraignment in mid-April Nolan was ordered to wear an ankle-monitoring device and not to have contact with the alleged victims, Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear, whose office is prosecuting the case, said in a press release.

Nolan, now a boxing promoter, is listed as sitting on a Kentucky school board, according to the board’s website.

He will appear in Kentucky’s Boone District Court on Friday for a preliminary hearing.

If convicted, Nolan faces a maximum 20 years for the human trafficking charge, according to a Kentucky Department of Corrections spokeswoman.

In the United States, sex trafficking is defined as commercial sex induced by force, fraud or coercion, or involving a minor under the age of 18.
