Hundreds Of Jews Gather in NYC To Protest ‘Anti-Semitic’ Ilhan Omar

Crowds gathered chanted ‘Omar must go!’ in New york

Hundreds of Jews descended on Times Square in New York City on Monday to protest ‘anti-Semitic’ Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN).

The crowds gathered chanting, “Omar must go!”

Many protesters also held placards denouncing the controversial congresswoman.

Following the highly-publicized allegations of the Minnesotan congresswoman’s antisemitism and her statement downplaying the 9/11 terrorist attacks, New York native and activist Joe Diamond organized a rally and billboard launch calling for her removal.

Speakers at the event included former Democratic New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind and award-winning advocate of Christian Zionism Laurie Cardoza-Moore.

“In my lifetime, I cannot think of any other politician who presents a bigger threat to the alliance between the U.S. and Israel and to America’s Jews,” Diamond told JPost.

“This woman is an ardent antisemite, and she doesn’t even try to hide it.”

“Ilhan and her clique are well aware of what we are doing,” Diamond added.

“And we’re not done. Everyone left really energized – ready to do whatever must be done next.”

“We have to utilize every mechanism of media to wake up Americans about the vile hatred of this woman,” Cardoza-Moore said.

“Christians should also be alarmed. Ilhan Omar is a huge threat to our national security.”

In March, Omar faced backlash for anti-semitic remarks as President Donald Trump called for her to resign.

The congresswoman faced more criticism for suggesting some politicians in Washington arepushing for allegiance” to Israel.

Michigan Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib also made a similar remark Senate Republicans were more loyal to Israel in January.

Her accusations that Jewish politicians could be vulnerable to having “dual loyalties” has been made in various contexts for years, and widely seen as a religious-based attack.

Earlier this month, Omar attacked presdient Donald Trump and Republicans before declaring that America “is NOT Going to Be the Country of White People.”
