Joe Biden Refers to Kamala Harris as ‘President-Elect’ – WATCH

Has the former vice president made another Freudian slip of the tongue?

Former Vice President Joe Biden referred to Kamala Harris as “president-elect” in another bizarre gaffe on Tuesday.

Biden made the flub during his remarks on COVID-19 in Wilmington, Delaware.

“I hope the president will clearly and unambiguously urge all Americans to take the vaccine once it’s available,” stated Biden.

“I took it to instill public confidence in the vaccine.”

“President-elect Harris took hers today for the same reason.”

Earlier this week, Harris received the Moderna vaccine on live TV.

“Literally, this is about saving lives; it’s literally about saving lives,” Harris said of the vaccine.

“I trust the scientists.”

“And it is the scientists that created and approved this vaccine.”

Biden also received the vaccine earlier this month.

Biden’s ‘slip’ is not the first time he has ignited speculation that Harris could be assuming the presidency.

In September, Harris seemingly slipped up during a virtual roundtable when she touted economic plans under a “Harris administration.”

“A Harris administration, together with Joe Biden as the president of the United States,” she said.

Earlier in August, Biden said he selected Harris as his running mate because she is “ready to lead on day one.”

“If @KamalaHarris and I are elected, we’re going to inherit multiple crises, a nation divided, and a world in disarray. We won’t have a minute to waste,” Biden tweeted at the time.

“That’s exactly why I picked her: She’s ready to lead on day one.”

“News” network CNN also predicted that Biden could be soon taking a back seat.

CNN editor-at-large Chris Cillizza wrote that Biden could “step aside” for Harris, all but conceding that Biden will not complete his presidential term.

“At 55 years old, [Harris] represents a younger generation of leader — something that Biden, who will be 78 on Inauguration Day 2021, said was a major factor in his choice,” he wrote.

“What Biden did is make the pick that maximized his chances of continuing to make the race a straight referendum on Trump while also selecting someone, in Harris, whose resume suggests will be ready to step in if and when Biden decides to step aside.”
