German Chancellor declare pro sovereign group as the ‘enemy’ of Europe

German Chancellor Angela Merkel declared populists as the “enemy” of Europe, warning they are seeking to destroy the continent’s globalist “values.”

Merkel, speaking Zagreb at the weekend, pulled out the stops ahead of the historic European Parliament elections this week.

She urged Croatians and other voters in Europe to shun pro-sovereignty and anti-mass migration populists at the ballot boxes.

The Chancellor claimed Patriotism and support for a federal European superstate are “not opposites,” asserting that “our values mean we can be proud of our own country and at the same time work to build Europe.”

Merkel went on to highlight ‘fundamental human rights and the ‘protection of minorities’ as being the “victims” of the attempted destruction of European values.

“Nationalism is the enemy of the European project, and we have to make that clear in the last days before the election,” she said, before adding Europe is a “project of peace,” a “project of freedom” and “the project of prosperity.”

The German globalist leader appeared alongside fellow Christian Democratic Union (CDU) politician, Manfred Weber, the lead candidate of the EU Parliament’s neoliberal, so-called center-right grouping.

Weber ruled out any cooperation with populists following this week’s vote, urging Croatian media:

“Right-wing populists and extremists are those who want to destroy Europe, who are not believing anymore in partnership on this continent, and we will fight against them.”

Meanwhile, in Milan, patriotic, pro-national sovereignty parties gathered for a rally Italian deputy prime minister Matteo Salvini fired back at Brussels-backing establishment politicians.

“There is no far-right here, there is just politics of common sense,” he told crowds.

“The extremists are those who governed Europe for 20 years in the name of precariousness and poverty.”

Salvini called out high profile globalist players like Merkel, French leader Emmanuel Macron, and billionaire George Soros, calling them “traitors” working to betray this vision “in the name of finance, of multinationalism, of money and uncontrolled immigration.”

Earlier this month Salvini urged populist parties to rise up and make a breakthrough in next week’s European elections, or some nations could become Islamic states.

The Italian populist leader announced that a rally including representatives from various populist parties, including French National leader Marine Le Pen, would take place in Milan next week.

In March, we reported that thousands of war criminals and dangerous terrorists flooded into Germany due to German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s open border policies, according to an investigation.

The probe found that between 2014 and 2019, around 5000 migrants, who were under investigation for violating international law, have entered Germany posing as asylum seekers.

According to a report by German tabloid Bild, authorities in Germany were aware of the situation but only investigated a handful of them themselves.
