Migrant Caravan Storms Border, 4000 Flood into Mexico

Video shows dramatic moment migrants tear down border fence and rush into Mexico

Dramatic video footage has captured the moment the migrant caravan stormed the border in Guatemala and over 4000 immigrants flooded into Mexico.

The herd of refugees has been slowly making its way through Central America after starting in Honduras as an organized march of around 1300 migrants making their way to Mexico.

The number has since grown to over 4,000 as more join along the way, with a new objective to pass through Mexico and charge the United States’ Southern Border.

As the crowd reached Mexican Southern Border, authorities were unable to hold the border as hundreds of migrants forced their way across, eventually tearing down the fence allowing thousands to pour into Mexico.

According to Breitbart, video captured by Noticias Telemundo shows the moment when hundreds of migrants force the gate open and rush into Mexico despite officials efforts to keep the migrants out.

Mexican authorities previously vowed to turn back any migrants who did not follow immigration law.

The rush is the latest development for the caravan originating in Honduras when approximately 1,300 migrants began an organized march to Mexico with some making their way to the U.S. Border.

The caravan caused the Mexican government to announce it would enforce immigration laws and turn back those who did not obtain a visa to travel through the country.

Despite the threat, the caravan grew in size to more than 4,000, pushing President Donald Trump to state he would remove all financial aid to Central American countries if the migration was not halted.

It remains unclear how many migrants were able to successfully enter Mexico by force.
