Nancy Pelosi’s Coronavirus Plan Gives $300M in Taxpayer Funds to Foreign Refugees

Democrats block critical bipartisan bill in favour of their own

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi‘s (D-CA) coronavirus ‘plan’ also includes giving foreign refugees living overseas millions in American taxpayer’s money.

Earlier this week, Pelosi and Democrats voted to block a critical bipartisan bill that would have provided Americans with much needed economic relief amid the global coronavirus pandemic.

The package would have given relief to American workers, citizens, and small businesses.

But the Democrats blocked that package, favoring their own plans to increase taxpayer funding to foreign refugees.

Pelosi returned to Washington, D.C., with a “wishlist” of sudden policy demands, striking down the bipartisan agreement ironed out by the Senate.”

Pelosi’s plan includes a designation of $300 million in American taxpayer’s funds which will go to foreign refugees.

Moreover, the House Speaker’s plan only gives $100 million in additional funds for runaways and homeless youth in the United States.

There is also only a $15 million to the “Veterans Employment and Training” office in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

American taxpayer’s money for foreign refugees is also about $100 million extra than Pelosi’s plan specifically designates for emergency food under the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.

Earlier this week, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) demanded taxpayer-funded handouts for “every person” living in the United States, including illegal aliens, to help with the coronavirus recovery.

Tlaib’s proposal amounts to an emergency universal basic income (UBI) and would have the U.S. Treasury provides every person in America with money until the coronavirus crisis ends.

The plan is called the “Automatic BOOST to Communities Act” and requires two $1 trillion platinum coins to be issued by the Treasury.

Direct payments would then be issued to American residents from the fund via a pre-loaded U.S. debit card.

In contrast, President Donald Trump halted refugee resettlement in the midst of the coronavirus crisis.
