VIce President slams AOC at the Christians United For Israel summit
Vice President Mike Pence called out Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez‘s claims that the U.S. was running “concentration camps” along the Mexico border.
Pence, who was speaking at the Christians United For Israel summit on Monday, slammed Democrats who “cheapened” the memory of Holocaust victims by making comparisons to the illegal immigrants at detention centers, though he never mentioned AOC by name.
“We must never allow the memory of those lost in the Holocaust to be cheapened as a cliché to advance some left-wing political narrative,” Pence said.
“Sadly, in recent weeks, that’s exactly what some Democrats have done in the national debate.
“Last month, a leading Democrat in Congress actually compared our U.S. Customs and Border Protection detection facilities to concentration camps.”

Pence continued.:
“To compare the humane work of dedicated men and women of Customs and Border Protection with the horrors of the Holocaust is an outrage.”
“The Nazis took lives; American law enforcement save lives every day. This slander of law enforcement was an insult to the 6 million killed in the Holocaust.”
Last month, AOC told her millions of social media followers that President Donald Trump and his administration are “running concentration camps on our southern border.”
“That is exactly what they are. They are concentration camps,” Ocasio-Cortez said during a live-stream on her Instagram account that currently has 3.6 million followers.
AOC compares Trump to Hitler here:
-‘Never Again’ references the Holocaust
-Concentration camps are a reference to the Holocaust
-AOC mentions WWII internment camps Japanese Americans were forced in
-Calling Trump a “fascist” is comparing him to Hitler given the time period— Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra) June 18, 2019
Ocasio-Cortez falsely claims Trump is operating concentration camps, compares the situation to the Holocaust: “The U.S. is running concentration camps on our southern border and that is exactly what they are. … ‘Never Again’ means something … we need to do something about it” pic.twitter.com/F2MmZ8y2dT

The false accusation that the US Government is committing acts similar to those of the Nazis during the Holocaust has caused outrage across social media.
Last week, the Presdient of the National Border Patrol Council slammed Ocasio-Cortez for her claims about her visit to several U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) sites housing migrants.
AOC continues to refer to the CBP facilities as “concentration camps” despite the massive backlash from Jewish leaders, Holocaust survivors, the U.S. Holocaust Museum, and Israel’s Yad Vashem.
“I’m calling on CBP to release that footage, so they clearly show that she was treated with the utmost dignity and respect,” Judd said.
“Nobody is forced to drink out of a toilet, and nobody is told to drink out of a toilet,” Judd explained.
