Image set internet on fire as top Dem pictured with Russian leader emerges
An image showing Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) giggling and eating donuts with Russian President Vladimir Putin has emerged, setting the internet ablaze in the process.
The photo surfaced on Wednesday amid the Democrats’ continued allegations against President Donald Trump of “colluding” with Russia.
The picture has caused a considerable amount of embarrassment for liberals everywhere following heavy criticism of the way their president handled the meeting with Putin in Helskini this week.
Ironically, the photo emerged shortly after Schumer’s tirade on the Senate floor on Tuesday, claiming he would have been far “tougher” than Trump if he met with Putin.
The photograph of Schumer looking not-so-tough as he cozies up with Putin has quickly gone viral, causing liberals to implode.
“I’m from Brooklyn. We learned one thing there if we learned anything: when there’s a bully around, as Putin is, you show strength,” Schumer said.
He added, “But President Trump showed abject weakness.
“You know what that means?
“The bully will continue to take advantage of him.
“If President Trump was such an easy mark in Helsinki, President Putin will realize he’s an easy mark elsewhere.”
He sure didn’t look very tough when he was actually face-to-face with Putin.
“The meeting between President Putin and myself was a great success, except in the Fake News Media,” Trump tweeted.
“Some people HATE the fact that I got along well with President Putin of Russia,” Trump added on Wednesday.
“They would rather go to war than see this. It’s called Trump Derangement Syndrome!”

RCP reports: Schumer is calling for immediate hearings with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and other top officials to learn more about President Donald Trump’s private meeting on Monday with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“Our Republican colleagues need to join us in demanding testimony from the president’s national security team that was in Helsinki, and we need to do that immediately,” Schumer declared Tuesday.
“We need hearings, as soon as possible, to assess what President Trump might have committed to President Putin in secret.
“President Trump’s public statements were alarming enough.
“The Senate needs to know what happened behind closed doors.
“Does anyone believe he was tougher on Putin in secret?
“You can’t assume anything but as weak as he was in public with President Putin, he was even worse in private.
“Why else did he not want anyone in the room?” Schumer asked.
