President Trump Thanks Democrats for Robert Mueller Hearings

Trump triumphant by the results following the second round of questioning

President Donald Trump sarcastically thanked the Democrats for holding hearings with former special counsel Robert Mueller.

“I would like to thank the Democrats for holding this morning’s hearing,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Now, after 3 hours, Robert Mueller has to subject himself to #Shifty Schiff – an Embarrassment to our Country!” Trump continued, referring to the chairman.

According to reports, Trump watched parts of the testimony but didn’t appear concerned.

Fox News analysis of the hearings painted a picture of failure as Chris Wallace describing the testimony as a “disaster.”

Katie Pavlich noting that Mueller denied the investigation was impeded before highlighting Rep. Jim Jordan’s line of questioning.

Stephanie Grisham, the White House press secretary, also shared an assessment of the Mueller testimony, which echoed bothe Fox and Wallace.

“The last three hours have been an epic embarrassment for the Democrats,” she wrote in a statement to reporters.

“Expect more of the same in the second half.”

Trump appeared triumphant by the results following the second round of questioning Mueller, retweeting several highlights from the hearing from his House Republican allies.

“TRUTH IS A FORCE OF NATURE!” he wrote on Twitter.

Brad Parscale, Trump’s re-election campaign manager, called the hearings a “disaster” for Democrats.

“This entire spectacle has always been about the Democrats trying to undo the legitimate result of the 2016 election and today they again failed miserably,” he wrote.

Mueller admitted that his team found no evidence of collusion between President Donald Trump and Russia during his investigation.

Under intense questioning from Republican Rep. Doug Collins, Mueller revealed that his team found “insufficient evidence of the president’s culpability” in Russian election interference.

Mueller had been called before Congress to answer the question regarding his report on his 22-month-long Russia Probe.

During questioning, Rep. Collins got Mueller to contradict his report by asking him whether “collusion” and “conspiracy” are the same thing.

Mueller testified that they weren’t the same, but Collins cited a part of the report that was contradictory.

Collins read Mueller’s own report to him:

“On page 180 of volume one of your report, you wrote, ‘As defined in legal dictionaries, collusion is largely synonymous with conspiracy as that crime is outlined in the general federal conspiracy statute, 18 U.S.C. 371; …’
