Reporter Films 300 Migrants Crossing Border in Just Six Hours – WATCH

Approximately 300 migrants were witnessed by a Texas reporter crossing the border before turning themselves into Border Patrol agents, according to reports.

KGBT CBS4 Reporter Sydney Hernandez took her camera to in Village were witnessed the incident on Tuesday night between 6 p.m. and midnight.

The baron area on the banks of the Rio Grande is notorious for border crossing.

Hernandez sent out a series of tweets which showed images of migrants walking up the dirt roads from the border river, the location where human smugglers cross them at will.

The migrants approach the first Border Patrol agents they find and then turn themselves in.

Hernandez told Breitbart she witnessed 20 in the first group, 38 in the second, “then 40, then 50, then about 150.”

But during the six hours, she counted 298 migrants who crossed the border illegally.

Hernandez said she interviewed several migrants who said they were here to claim asylum, but some also said they came for economic reasons.

“One woman I spoke to said she came for a better job opportunity,” the KGBT reporter explained.

“A 16-year-old traveling alone said she came because she wants to go to school.”

She added that most of the crossing migrants were family units.

“We only saw a handful of single males,” Hernandez stated.

The news comes one month after Immigration officials in Texas captured a group of African migrants who arrived in San Antonio after illegally crossing the US Southern Border.

City officials are appealing for French-speaking volunteers after 350 illegals from the Congo turned up without warning.

“We didn’t get a heads up,” Interim Assistant City Manager Dr. Collen Bridger told KEN 5 after the migrants arrived in the city unexpectedly.

“When we called Border Patrol to confirm, they said, ‘yea another 200 to 300 from the Congo and Angola will be coming to San Antonio.’”

Also in June, Rio Grande Valley Border Patrol agents apprehended a total of 43,197 migrants, according to Southwest Border Migration Report.
