Second Man Found Dead in Home of Major Democrat Donor Ed Buck

2nd body found in less than two years at California home of Clinton-tied Democratic funder

A second man has been found dead in the home of major Hillary Clinton and Democratic Party donor Ed Buck, less than 18 months after the body of a male prostitute was discovered in the same California apartment.

Protesters have started gathering outside Buck’s West Hollywood building, accusing police of failing to take action after male escort Gemmell Moore was also found dead in the apartment in July 2017.

Authorities declined to prosecute the powerful Clinton-tied Democrat sponsor for Moore’s death, claiming there was insufficient evidence for a conviction.

More than 100 people gathered outside Buck’s home on Monday night, demanding that the political activist is arrested.

Buck – a regular donor to Democratic campaigns including Hillary Clinton’s presidential bid – was investigated for the suspected murder of 26-year-old Moore, but never charged.

The wealthy 64-year-old donor was again interviewed by police on Monday after another black man, in his 50s, died in his presence, although the cause is not yet known.

Jasmyne Cannick, a public affairs strategist who has been working with Mr. Moore’s family, says the DA and Sheriff’s Department “have blood on their hands” for failing to properly investigate Edward Buck.

Cannick claims that Buck lures men to his apartment with promises of cash so he can inject them with crystal meth for his own sexual gratification, although the allegations are as yet unproven.

“This was preventable. We knew he hadn’t stopped, that it was only a matter of time before this happened again,” she said.

“And now it’s only a matter of time before it happens a third time if he’s not stopped.”

Community activists say Buck is responsible for the deaths of those men, and are planning to hold a rally on Laurel Avenue outside his West Hollywood apartment building, to call for the prosecution of the prominent donor.

A photo shows the moment a body was removed by the coroner from the West Hollywood apartment of prominent Democratic donor Ed Buck around three am this morning.

In July 2017, male escort Gemmell Moore was also found dead in Buck’s apartment, with the medical examiner later determining that he died as a result of an accidental meth overdose.

Moore had written in his journal that Ed Buck had injected him with crystal meth for the first time, saying that it hurt him and that he was becoming addicted to the pain.

According to Fox LA, he also wrote, “If it didn’t hurt so bad I’d kill myself, but I’ll let Ed Buck do it for now.”

In July 2018 prosecutors declined to press charges against Buck over Moore’s death saying there was insufficient evidence to prove Buck was responsible for his death.

In light of the death at Buck’s apartment, early Monday morning the LA County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau is now investigating and is also conducting a secondary review of the circumstances surrounding Gemmell Moore’s death.

When Gemmell Moore died summer of 2017, Ed Buck’s attorney told FOX 11 Moore was a close friend of Buck and that his death was a tragedy, but that Buck was not responsible for it.

Buck’s attorney released a statement regarding the latest death at his client’s home:

“Unfortunately, a tragic death happened at Ed Buck’s apartment.

“It was a longtime friend who came over.

“Unfortunately, the longtime friend was under the influence, when he arrived.

“He started to exhibit bizarre behavior and symptoms requiring medical assistance. Ed called 911, paramedics arrived and they were unable to resuscitate him.”

According to the Daily Mail, the attorney said Buck was initially interviewed by officers who arrived on the scene but has declined further interviews with homicide detectives.

“On Monday, January 7, 2019, at 1.05am, West Hollywood Station deputies responded to the 1200 block of Laurel Ave in the City of West Hollywood regarding a person not breathing,” the LA Sheriff’s Department said in a statement.

“The informant performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and called 9-1-1.

“Los Angeles County Fire responded to the location and pronounced a male adult deceased.

“The cause of death is unknown at this time and will be determined by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner Office.

“On July 27, 2017, there was a death investigation of a male adult, Gemmel Moore, who was determined to have overdosed at the same location.

“Mr. Edward Buck was present during both incidents.

“The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau has responded to the location and Investigators are conducting a thorough investigation, which includes follow up interviews and a secondary review of the July 27, 2017 incident.”

Buck has given tens of thousands of dollars to Democrat campaigns, according to Federal Election Commission figures, including Clinton, Barack Obama, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, and many others.

He has been photographed with Hillary Clinton and former California Governor Jerry Brown.

The 64-year-old became a successful businessman, pioneering in computer technology, specifically in electronic information services, in Arizona before moving to Los Angeles.
