Trey Gowdy: If Trump Committed Crime, ‘Adam Schiff Would Have Leaked It’

Blast critics saying, if evidence existed, it would have been leaked already

Trey Gowdy has slammed those accusing Donald Trump of criminal activity, saying that evidence existed that the president had committed a crime, then “Adam Schiff would have leaked it” already.

The straight-talking Congressman managed to slam Washington D.C. leakers and those behind the “Russian collusion” witch hunt is one fell swoop.

The political sphere has been likened to a sieve recently, with details President Trump’s private phone calls to world leaders and internal White House discussions leaked.

Pretty much everything ever said to anyone in Congress has immediately leaked.

So Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) says that if there were any evidence that Trump had committed a crime, “Adam Schiff would have leaked it,” he makes a very good point.

Speaking on “Fox News Sunday,” Gowdy said:

“I have not seen one scintilla of evidence that this president colluded, conspired, confederated with Russia, and neither has anyone else, or you may rest assured Adam Schiff would have leaked it,”

“That’s why they’ve moved off of collusion onto obstruction of justice, which is now their current preoccupation.”

Daily Wire reports: Schiff, a California Democrat, has been among the most vocal Trump haters.

As head of the House Intelligence Committee, Schiff is privy to a lot of information that others are not — and leaks of information have streamed out of the committee.

Schiff also toes the Democratic line, spouting the party’s talking points on CNN and MSNBC.

Last week, he ripped Trump for his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, saying the president “acts like he’s compromised.”

“For whatever reason, this president acts like he’s compromised,” Schiff told ABC’s This Week on Sunday.

“It may very well be that he is compromised or it may very well be that he believes that he’s compromised, that the Russians have information on him,” he said.

“There is simply no other way to explain why he would side with this Kremlin, former KGB officer, rather than his own intelligence agencies,” Schiff said.

Gowdy, though, noted that after 18 months, there’s been no evidence of any crime committed.

And now, the probe led by special counsel Robert Mueller appears to be moving into the sexual realm.

Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, reportedly recorded a conversation with Trump about a former Playboy model who claims Trump once had an affair with her.

That latest revelation, of course, has already leaked.

So it does make sense: If anyone had anything on Trump, it’d already be out there.
