Trump: Sadiq Khan is to Blame for ‘Terror Attacks’ in London

President says London Mayor is ‘doing a terrible job’

Donald Trump has blasted London Mayor Sadiq Khan, saying he’s to blame for “terror attacks” in London in recent years.

The president said Khan has “done a very bad job on terrorism” by “allowing millions and millions” of migrants into the British capital.

During an interview inside the US Embassy in Brussels ahead of his visit to the UK, the US President said the London Mayor was responsible for terrorism.

Speaking to the Sun, Trump said:

“I think allowing millions and millions of people to come into Europe is very, very sad.

“I look at cities in Europe, and I can be specific if you’d like.

“You have a mayor who has done a terrible job in London.

“He has done a terrible job.

“Take a look at the terrorism that is taking place.

“Look at what is going on in London.”

Express reports: London has been the victim of four terror attacks in the last year.

These were at Westminster, London Bridge, Parsons Green Tube station and Finsbury Park’s mosque.

He added: “I think he has done a very bad job on terrorism.

“I think he has done a bad job on crime, if you look, all of the horrible things going on there, with all of the crime that is being brought in.”

Trump also revealed Sadiq Khan has shown the US a lack of respect after London’s City Hall, run by the London Mayor, granted permission for a six-meter inflatable of the US President – complete with nappy and man boobs – to fly over the capital during his visit.

He said: “I think he has not been hospitable to a government that is very important.

“Now he might not like the current President, but I represent the United States.

“I also represent a lot of people in Europe because a lot of people from Europe are in the United States.”

Trump clashed with Mr. Khan last year after a terrorist attacked people on London Bridge and Borough Market.

The Republican firebrand mocked the Mayor for his appeal to Londoners to stay calm.

He tweeted: “At least 7 dead and 48 wounded in terror attack and Mayor of London says there is ‘no reason to be alarmed!’”

Mr. Khan described the tweet as “ill-informed.”

A source close to Mr. Khan said the Home Office is in charge of immigration policy for the whole of the UK and not those in City Hall.
