Trump Threatens To Send US Military To Stop Migrant Caravan

The group of immigrants has reportedly reached 4,000 and heading through Mexico

President Donald Trump has warned he is prepared to send the military to block the migrant caravan traveling towards the United States border.

The group of immigrants, which has reportedly reached 4,000, left Honduras and are now heading through Mexico toward the US border.

“I must, in the strongest of terms, ask Mexico to stop this onslaught – and if unable to do so I will call up the U.S. Military and CLOSE OUR SOUTHERN BORDER!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

The caravan of migrants that originated in Honduras increased to several thousand people after passing into Guatemala and heading for the Mexican border

In another deterrent, trump also threatened to cease all federal payments to Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador if the countries failed to block the flow of immigrants.

The President also blamed Democrats for discarding a reform of immigration laws allowing them to claim asylum.

“Hopefully Mexico will stop this onslaught at their Northern Border,” he wrote. “All Democrats fault for weak laws!”

Trump seemed like he was reading and willing to cease his new trade deal with Mexico if the caravan wasn’t stopped.

“The assault on our country at our Southern Border, including the Criminal elements and DRUGS pouring in, is far more important to me, as President, than Trade or the USMCA,” he wrote.
