Trump Vows Complete ‘Government Shut Down’ if Border Wall Isn’t Funded

The President threats democrats if lawmakers refuse to fund his s proposed border wall

President Donald Trump has vowed a complete ‘shut down’ of the government if lawmakers refuse to fund his proposed border wall and enact his immigration priorities according to reports.

Trump said in a Tweet he would be willing to willing to “shut down” government if the Democrats refuse to give votes for the Security.

I would be willing to “shut down” government if the Democrats do not give us the votes for Border Security, which includes the Wall! Must get rid of Lottery, Catch & Release etc. and finally, go to a system of Immigration based on MERIT! We need great people coming into our Country!

The Tweet is anticipated to create high stakes showdown with Democratic lawmakers, who have recently vowed never to give into the President’s demands.

According to The DailyCaller: The fight could lead right into the November midterm elections and put immigration as a centerpiece issue in the last stages of the campaign season.

Trump has long been frustrated by lack of effort to fully fund his proposed $25 billion wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. The White House originally tried to enact wall funding and immigration priorities by tying demands to an expiration of DACA.

The DACA program allowed hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants brought to the U.S. as children to remain in the U.S. and work without consequences.

Trump defied his critics on Friday following a new economic report showing the U.S. economy grew at a clip of 4.1 percent in the second quarter, reaching a pace not seen since 2014.

Trump said: “It is indeed a big one,” before expressing he was honored by the growth figure calling it a ‘great day.

‘The US President then made an unscheduled appearance on the South Lawn of the White House, to elaborate on the news.

According to the DM: ‘As the trade deals come in one by one we’re going to go a lot higher than these numbers and these are great numbers,’ Trump said.’These numbers are very, very sustainable.

This isn’t a one-time shot,’ Trump said

.He also made a sunny prediction about the next quarter.

The latest numbers reflect April through June.’I think the numbers are going to be outstanding.

We’ve accomplished an economic turnaround of historic proportions,’ Trump said.

‘We’re on track to hit the highest annual average growth rate in over 13 years,’ Trump said, predicting it could be ‘substantially over 3 per cent’ on an annualized basis.
