PSA: Please Do Not Put Toothpaste On Your Genitals

While we have heard some pretty weird things throughout the years this one might take the cake in some areas. Apparently, people are using toothpaste for something other than their teeth and it’s getting out of hand.

Sure, not too long ago we were being urged not to masturbate with cucumbers as a means of cleaning our vaginas but apparently, now people are using toothpaste to tighten them. Yes, you read that correctly. Not only are people using toothpaste to ‘tighten’ vaginas they are also using it to keep them going longer performance-wise in regards to those with penises.

While you might not be considering this, please know that it’s not even a good idea as a joke and apparently is quite a widespread issue in Nigeria. The PM News Nigeria actually spoke with a doctor who has seen this situation more than you’d expect. His name is Dr. Oluwole Yusuf, and he wants the world to know just how unhealthy and harmful it can be to use toothpaste on your genitals.

“Toothpaste is caustic and too abrasive for a sensitive body part like the vagina and using such on it can destroy the organisms meant to protect the vagina from possible infections.”

“When the vagina can no longer protect itself, the body is prone to infections which could later destroy the tubes and block the chances of getting pregnant.”

“If a man tells you that you are too loose down there and you want to run your future because of that, he will eventually leave you for another.”

“Be confident in yourself and allow your body to be the way it is.”

“There are different healthy exercises or practices that can be done that will slowly tighten the vagina without posing a threat to the woman.”

“Kegel exercise and Yoga exercise are part of the exercises that can make the vagina tight without engaging in harmful practices.”

Now, in regards to men perhaps you should just stick to the little blue pill (Viagra) when it comes to getting it up and lasting longer. While there are videos on Youtube boasting about how using toothpaste to make your sexual stamina a bit better it’s just not worth it. Toothpaste stings and can irritate and damage the skin it comes in contact with depending on how sensitive your outer layers are.

“I’d urge anyone thinking of trying this rather worrying ‘toothpaste’ technique to cease and desist- because it won’t do anything at all to combat premature ejaculation or erectile dysfunction, despite the claims being made in these videos.”

“The peppermint oils and other chemicals in toothpaste, including bleaching agents, can be extremely irritating to sensitive skin, by putting it on your genitals you actually risk a mild burn, as well as blisters and scarring. And toothpaste should in no way be used as a lubricant, either.”

According to The Metro, this trick and other harmful ones like it are being promoted all over YouTube, Reddit, and other sites. Be aware of the things you’re doing and please do not be a sheep. Don’t use toothpaste near your genitals, keep it away from your penis, vagina, and please do not use it as lube.
